Vasarely answers a survey: to the question "If you had to conclude your life with one word, what would be 'the last word'?", the artist answers "I received life, knowledge... One day I started to give, since then, I am fulfilled...". Vasarely recalls his early days, before becoming a renowned artist and the need to have a second profession "choosing applied arts, I had both a well-paid job and continuous technical training. I was in no hurry to break through as a painter and was able to spend all my free time learning my work. Celebrity and money - without products of an accomplished work - presented themselves around 1960. Each of my periods - which are of great diversity - contain successful works which are appreciated by the participants. I do not create for myself, I "give to see".
