"Pomdo" Kissi. Guinea. Sculpture in grey hard stone. Accidents, alteration of the surface. This is probably the upper part of a larger sculpture. A human head, with a carefully carved headdress of multiple buns, rests on a trunk from which another head emerges in the round. The front of the sculpture is too eroded to interpret the form that emerges. Nevertheless it could be the representation of a maternity, the lower part having disappeared. H. 27 cm.
