Plaque (piece of furniture) carved in light relief in a frame.
"Lady at her window": feminine head adorned with a heavy Egyptian wig, freeing the ears and surmounting a balustrade supported by four colonnettes. It is probably a representation of the goddess Astarte-hor. Ivory. Limestone deposit. Restorations. Canaanite art, 9th-8th century B.C. 7.3 x 5.8 cm. Similar plates are preserved in the Louvre Museum and the British Museum, from the sites of Arslan Tash and Nimrud.
