ERRATUM : There is an important restoration on the back and in the center on the whole height probably due to a break. Stele well restored. Stele in the form of a false door. White limestone. 75 x 63 cm False door stele with a double slope and a cylindrical torus engraved on the lintel with a scene representing a dignitary seated in front of two lines and a column of inscriptions in hieroglyphic characters. The double uprights are also engraved with texts in hieroglyphic characters and are decorated at the bottom with representations of the owner standing holding a long cane. Chalky deposit and gray coloring in depth. Visible lacunae, otherwise very good preservation. Egypt, end of the Old Kingdom. PROVENANCE Sale Piasa (cabinet Mariaud de Serres), 17 March 2003 (n° 247)
