Complete first edition. Text framed.
The year 1783 is in duplicate, profusely annotated in pen.

From the library of the castle of Lux, home of the SAULX-TAVANNES who were governors of Burgundy, with a bookplate with their coat of arms printed in gilt, bearing their motto "Semper Léo" [probably of Aglaé-Marie-Louise de CHOISEUL-BEAUPRE (1772-Lux, 1861), daughter of the academician CHOISEUL-GOUFFIER, who married in 1786 Charles-Casimir de SAULX, duke and peer].
Nice copy.

Corners slightly bumped, spotting and stain on lower board; inside very fresh, a good copy.

A good copy in spite of a small worm work at the head of the spine and at the lower spine.
