MOUSTIERS.
Large round earthenware dish with blue monochrome decoration in the center of episcopal coat of arms belonging to Ennemond Alleman de Montmartin. Arms: Gules sown with fleur-de-lys or with a silver band in an oval shield surmounted by a crown and flanked by a crozier and a mitre. The wing decorated with foliage and flowers. Two original suspension holes.
Manufacture Clérissy. Early 18th century.

A restoration on the edge.
Ennemond Alleman de Montmartin born in Vienne (Isère) in 1660 or 1662 died in Fontainebleau on October 28, 1719. He was appointed prince-bishop of Grenoble on November 1, 1707.
