Japan, Satsuma kilns, Meiji period (1868-1912). Large baluster vase in Satsuma earthenware decorated in polychrome enamels and gold in relief with two reserves decorated with samurai on one side and dignitaries and young women on the other, on a dark blue background and decorated with môn and plum tree flowers. Signed Kinkozan. Height 31 cm (Wear on the gold on the edge).
