PATTE Florence (XXth - XIXth) - Pebble Large spiral - Bronze sculpture signed and numbered 3/5 - 11 x 5.5 cm approximately --- Florence Patte is a French artist, ceramist and author-illustrator born in Boulogne-Billancourt. Unable to choose between the arts and literature, she followed a double university course and obtained a diploma from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA) in Toulouse. Passionate about ancient languages, she passed the Capes and then the Agrégation of classical literature. In her oil paintings, she most often represents diffracted and luminous landscapes as if to perceive the world through a prism that plays on the appearance and disappearance, opacity and transparency, permanence and lability of beings and things. Her long stays abroad - sixteen years in total - have allowed her to discover other cultures, to feed herself and to exhibit in prestigious places. She has also created "limited edition" models (jewelry, ceramics, textiles) for various institutions. Her works are represented in national and private collections in France and abroad. In addition, she has published various works (essays, illustrated stories, novels). Under the pseudonym Florence Farrow, she published in 2014 a book on the Mucem co-written with the architect Rudy Ricciotti.
