Fritz Bleyl, Standing quarter hour beat. 1905. Pencil drawing. Signed, monogrammed and dated lower right. On wove paper. 44.4 x 34.2 cm (17.4 x 13.4 in), sheet size. [AM]. - From the "Viertelstundenakte" series, in which Fritz Bleyl and the other "Brücke" members devoted themselves intensively to drawing nudes. - Only a few of these seminal drawings by the artists have survived to this day. - Works by Bleyl from the sought-after "Brücke" period are extremely rarely offered on the international auction market.
