Erich Heckel, Lying girl with cat (Fränzi). 1909. Lithograph. Ebner/Gabelmann 368 L. Dube L 122. signed and dated. One of 3 copies known to the catalog raisonné. On wove paper (papier vélin). 27,5 x 32,9 cm (10,8 x 12,9 in). Paper: 36,6 x 45,7 cm (14,4 x 17,9 in). The sheet was probably subsequently signed and dated by Erich Heckel. Hand-titled and dated by Siddi Heckel on the lower right margin. - The only copy not owned by the museum, the two other known copies of the lithograph are in the Folkwang Museum, Essen, and in the Staatliche Kunsthalle, Karlsruhe. - An exceptionally fine example of the immediate and spontaneous working method of the "Brücke" artists. - Closed Provenance.
