Erich Heckel, Fränzi with blanket. 1909. Watercolor and gouache. Signed and dated later on the lower right. Titled by Siddi Heckel at lower left. On smooth drawing paper. 22.2 x 28.3 cm (8.7 x 11.1 in), sheet size. [EH]. - Unique in this condition and freshness of color. - The works of Heckel and Kirchner, created at the Moritzburg Ponds, are considered absolutely outstanding testimonies of Expressionism. - Image of the artistic dream of unconstrained life in nature. - Depicted is the favorite model Fränzi.
