This Iznik tile has a beautiful polychrome decoration, of floral motifs swirling on a white background in a central
central medallion, and around plant motifs and saz leaves on a turquoise background. The Louvre
holds a tile of a similar type under the inventory number OA 3919/409. It has on the back
an old collection label with the number 5.
