SWORD OF THE PREFECT HENRI GOULLEY.
Silver plated metal frame, with carved decoration of floral motifs, arabesques and leafy garlands. Spindle in mother-of-pearl plates. Triangular steel blade engraved with foliage on its first third, kept with its original black leather scabbard. A tricolor silk scarf with silver wire bangs is attached.
Good condition, time wear to the scabbard.

Provenance : having belonged to the prefect Henri Goulley (1852-1938), French diplomat under the Third Republic.
