Spectacular baroque sideboard in oak carved on all its sides of large moldings forming caissons, six openwork consoles, scrolls, lions' heads, characters and cherubs. It opens with four flaps and two drawers in the belt. The two upper panels decorated with a coat of arms of a cardinal and a coat of arms with a lion of Flanders. The two lower shutters as for them of two heads of grotesques surmounted by shell. The furniture has retained its original locks. This rare piece of furniture was probably made on order of a religious community. Flanders, Antwerp, 17th century. H. 227 L. 211 D. 90 cm. Misses and restorations of uses.
