MENDÉ. Silver tetradrachm (460-423 B.C.). 16,88 g. Half-naked Silenus, lying on the left, facing front, on a donkey standing on the right. He holds a canthara in his left hand and a thyrse in his right. Grenetis. R/ Linear square decorated with a vine with four grapes. H.G.C. 3-546. Noé 1926, n°61. Representation of great interest. Very rare and of remarkable preservation. Provenance : Ravel, May 1939.
