MENDÉ. Silver tetradrachm (460-423 B.C.). 17,24 g. Half-naked Silenus, lying on the left on a donkey standing on the right. He is holding a canthara with his right hand. In front of the donkey, ivy plant on which a raven is standing on the right. R/ Vine with five bunches of grapes. Legend around. Bment 657. H.G.C. 3-545. Very rare. Very nice copy. Provenance: Ratto, December 1939.
