SYRACUSE. Silver tetradrachm (450-440 B.C.). Second Democracy. 17,01 g. Head of Arethusa on the right, a string of pearls in the hair raised on the neck. Around the neck, four dolphins. R/ Quadriga on the right, Niké flying on the right, crowning the horses. In exergue, pistrix. Boehringer 483. H.G.C. 2-1311. Flan slightly pitted on the right. Wide flan. A very nice copy.
