PICASSO (Pablo) / DUHAMEL (Marcel) Le Picasso de poche. 1 notebook (7,8x10) full beige canvas decorated with blue diamond patterns and yellow wavy lines. The interior is decorated on a hundred pages, of compositions in the Indian ink drawn in the brush and printed: caricatures, flowers, insects, birds, then spots, lines and numbers. The notebook always ends printed, with : For Marcel Duhamel his friend Picasso. Next page, Picasso on 24.12.1957. The notebook was slipped into an envelope bearing the stamp of the Vallauris Exhibition (with the head of Picasso's "goat") and is written in pencil in 6 colors: "Senor / Don Marcel / Duhamel / Antibes - A.M". The back of the envelope is decorated with a blue line symbolizing the sea, with above, a sun with green rays. This envelope is placed in a Plexiglas case (soiled) to which is added an oblong booklet entitled "About a notebook...". Text by Marcel Duhamel printed on December 15, 1964 in facsimile by the Jacomet process, published Aux Dépens d'un Amateur and printed at 375 copies for the French edition, at 375 copies for the English edition and at a few off-price copies reserved for Picasso and the collaborators of the work. Our notebook is a copy Hors-Commerce offered by Picasso to Marie Bell. Marcel Duhamel, director of the famous "Série Noire" collection at Gallimard, was Picasso's friend. Ref : Cramer n° 129
