The castle is drawn from the same point of view as in the painting by Jean-Baptiste Martin, now in a private collection, by Jean-Baptiste Martin, Le roi revenant de voir les travaux de Louveciennes (D. Brouzet, "Jean-Baptiste et Pierre-Denis Martin, peintres des maisons royales", L'Estampille / L'Objet d'art, n°328, October 1998, repr. pp. 64-65). The painting was engraved by the artist's son, Pierre- Denis.
