Charles-Honoré de Barentin (1671-1705), here portrayed in bust form in his magistrate's robes, was President of the Grand
Council under the Ancien Régime. Another portrait of Charles Honoré Barentin at the age of 28 is known; it is mentioned in A. James-Sarazin, Catalogue raisonné de Hyacinthe
