Large earthenware teapot from Satsuma Kinkosan in Kyoto, in the shape of a dragon wrapped around the neck of a vase, the body enamelled in polychrome and gold with a pair of peacocks and a pair of birds among chrysanthemums
The lid also decorated with geometric motifs, and alternating medallions of the Satsuma sign and the imperial seal
