Hanafuda ("flower game"), in its original box, itself divided into four closed compartments
The main box lacquered in takamaki-e with a lake landscape in relief, the interior nashiji and decorated with a teapot and a bunch of lilies
The compartment boxes are also lacquered in nashiji on all sides, except for the lid which is lacquered in takamaki-e and decorated with lake landscapes and birds in flight. They contain: 73 gold lacquered wooden counters with flowers and numbers, and four bundles of ten miniature paper envelopes with pink floral decoration.
