A Taka-maki-e lacquered wood box cover inlaid with mother-of-pearl on an ivory veneered background, decorated on four sides with a fisherman raising his net in front of the arrival of a fleet of ships; a monkey showman and his animal crossing a bridge in front of Mount Fuji; a Geisha and her cat on a garden bench, with Mount Fuji in the background; and finally a man walking by the water in front of Mount Fuji, accompanied by a woman with a pipe carrying her child.
