Most of this correspondence comes from admirers of his work. His close friends are present. Among them are Jean
Dutourd, Malaparte, Renaud de Jouvenel, Gabriel Audisio, Ivon Goll and the publisher Denoël.
There are also letters from Élise Maurin dit Zizi, the first wife of
Giono, letters from his daughters Aline and Sylvie, a few letters from Giono to his children, autographs from his hand and an autograph manuscript from "Préface (lettres aux paysans)".
