If we came at 5 o'clock we would have dinner at 6 after having seen the studio"... Paris 4 November 1851, [to Thérèse Bomberault, Mme Alexis ROCHÉ]. Thanks for a grant: "So much time spent for a thing which was intended for me, so much taste and skill in the execution are things that I cannot praise enough: you have pushed the good grace to seek to match your delicious work with the small hanging of my living room. And who are the people who show me such charming kindness? The one to whom I am indebted for services of the rarest and most precious kind.
