Infantry warrant officer saber model 1845 with slightly curved steel blade with hollow sides and flat back marked Manufacture d'Armes de Châtellerault 1878. Brown leather tie. Guard with a branch and a quillon out of brass with decoration opened of foliated foliage numbered 17693 and punched, fusée out of brown horn and filigree.
Scabbard in iron sheet metal relacquered gray with trace of number "...93".
(small shocks to the guard, slight oxidation of the scabbard)
