Album of paintings after Wang Shimin (王時敏, 1592-1680), The Poetic Sentiments of Du Fu, 19th century
Containing eight paintings out of twelve and a colophon illustrating landscapes inspired by the poems of Dufu, one of the great poets of the Tang period. Each painting is accompanied by a poem and an artist's stamp. This is probably a copy of the original album made in the 19th century. The album is contained in a wooden case covered with silk brocade with floral decoration in geometric reserves.

Shimin (王時敏, 1592-1680), pseudonym Xilu Laoren (西廬老人), was one of the painters in the group known as the four Wangs along with Wang Jian (1598-1677), Wang Hui (1632-1717) and Wang Yuanqi (1642-1715).
