Old label on the back of the frame (recent) bearing the number 30233
Carved and gilded wooden tabernacle frame, decorated with fluted half columns ending in Corinthian capitals, the entablature is in imitation of a coffered ceiling. The frame is partly composed of 16th century elements reassembled and completed in the 19th century.
Remake of the painting by Andrea del Sarto kept in the Louvre Museum.
