A set of three paintings attributed to the Master of the Antwerp Adoration depicting the Entombment of Christ, Christ On The Mount of Olives, and The Mocking of Christ. Panel paintings.
The type of face with angular features distorted by dramatic expressions, the eccentric clothing in bright colours are specific elements of Antwerp Mannerist art.
This suite of three panels, which was originally intended to form a triptych, can be compared with several works by the Antwerp Adoration Master, where we find certain stylistic details that are similar, such as the white dog in the scene of Christ in the outrages (see M. J. Friedlander, "Early Netherländish paintings, The Antwerp manierists", Adriaen Ysenbrandt, Leiden, 1974, nos. 46-57, reproduced on pl. 47-61).
