Mask Bronze 18 x 17 cm Signature engraved on the left side: "Émile Guillaume Émile Oscar Guillaume was a student of Jules Cavelier, Aimé Millet and Louis-Ernest Barrias. An important part of his work pays tribute to the soldiers of the First World War. Attached to the retranscription of the expression of passions, Guillaume is interested here in the possibilities of expressiveness offered by the mask. The latter bears witness to the artist's taste for symbolist sculpture, evoking here an enigmatic presence as well as the subject's inner torments.
