Cabriolet, China, 19th century
A folded fan, known as a "cabriolet", with two paper leaves. The first painted with 18 figures with silk clothes and ivory heads*. The second sheet painted with a pheasant among roses.
On the reverse side, five painted cartels of characters alternating with birds among flowers. The second leaf is decorated with 13 figures with silk clothes and ivory* heads in relief.
Ivory* mount engraved with flowers. The plumes carved in light relief with figures and flowers.
