Large mirror with finely carved and gilded wooden brackets. France, Regency period, circa 1720. Remarkable architecture, the Italian decor is with a woman's mask. The cartouche at the top has a cross-braced bottom with a canopy in the shape of an acanthus. The upper part is decorated with friezes with foliage crooked friezes. The uprights imitating the pilaster are made of fluted glass and prove the excellence of the glassmakers of the time. H: 198 cm; W: 120 cm This exceptional model in its original gilding is complete. Shards on the first surround of the Bérain-style rod on three centimetres on each side. The woman's mask shows two small lacks of gilding on the forehead. Old restorations.
