(without the last blank), contemporary binding, wooden aisle covered with brown leather, the boards entirely decorated with compartments of cold motifs and each comprising five bouillons or large nails here of gilt bronze with ornamented head, spine with three nerves partially detached, traces of clasps.
Learned edition published by Petrus Egidius. - The Catholicon is a Latin dictionary written in 1286 by an Italian Dominican, Giovanni Balbi, also called John of Genoa. It also contains a Latin grammar and encyclopaedic articles.
Title printed in red with large Huguetan mark and numerous initials on a black screened background.
According to Baudrier, the BNF copy is incomplete with the title.
