Superb long cashmere shawl, India, circa 1860, black star-shaped reserve surrounded by the ends of fleurons and palmettes; the slopes are decorated with a central cartouche with stretched facing palms framed by two lanceolate compartments with flowering shrubs. Alternating borders of fleurons and palmettes. Espoliné cashmere weave in more than 10 colours, wide embroidered selvedges, 340 x 140 cm.
