"Source blague y a-t-il derrière ?", a été son premier mot quand Simrock a parlé de prix bon marché pour les nouvelles choses.
C'est noté par écrit, il n'y a donc pas de quoi rire: Brahms est bien assis. Blague est, bien sûr, un mot mot trop gentil pour la gifl e que Simrock lui donne, ainsi qu'aux autres personnes concernées. Il suppose que l'ordre a été maintenant donné de mettre une année sur chaque première page de musique, au lieu du faux-titre comme Brahms le désirait...
