Seund Ja Rhee (1918-2009)

Dating to the early 1960s, the artist's most sought-after period, this composition hails from the former Michel Gaudet Collection.

The yearly "Morceaux choisis" (Chosen Works) sale lived up to its name with enthralling works by a Korean-born French artist and Paul Jenkins.

On the occasion of the FIAC, the auction house turns to recent creation by presenting a selection of works from the 20th and 21st centuries (from Marc Chagall to the Korean painter Seund Ja Rhee and the street artist Maye) that will soon find themselves under the hammer. Until October 23, from 11 am to 6 pm.

On May 25 in Gangnam, southern Seoul, 115 works of art come up for auction, including works by Korean female modernists and international figures. Chun Kyung-ja’s Woman is estimated at ₩600M-900M. Gormley’s "MEME: CXXXVIII" could make ₩350M. Rhee Seund-ja, Kim Tschang-yeul, Salvador Dali are also featured. (KoreaTimes)
