Walking around Paris it is difficult to miss the dramatic chocolate sculptures showcased in the shop windows of Patrick Roger. These monumental works, which transcend edible creations, have earned him the nickname the “Rodin” of chocolate. An accomplished artist, Roger’s practice extends beyond chocolate.

After 43 years at the architecture firm, pioneer high-tech architect Richard Rogers is stepping down from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. He founded the practice in 1977, the same year that works finished on the Pompidou Centre, the building that catapulted his career. His retirement has been planned since 2007.
