More than 1,000 models that have marked the history of the automobile will be on display for this 46th edition at the Parc Expo at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. 

An Immaculate Conception, restored in 2019 and displayed in a church in Seville, has sparked a debate among experts. Ignacio Cano and Antonio Romero believe the canvas was painted by Murillo between 1640 and 1645, while art historian Enrique Valdivieso argues it does not display Murillo’s noted style and techniques.

The movement, led by the International Imagination of Anti-National Anti-Imperialist Feelings, has highlighted links between MoMA trustees and environmental and human rights crises around the world. Yann Le Mouel will auction works by photography legends such as Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau and Helmut Newton in a sale dedicated to modern and contemporary photography. Great South American photographers Mario Cravo Neto and Humberto Rivas are also in on the docket.

While the museums are likely to reopen on Dec.15, housed in an 18th-century townhouse the museum will remain closed until March 27 due to the restrictive gauge set by the government and ongoing renovations. The eclectic institution will reopen its newly renovated 2nd floor for the occasion. 

TEFAF Maastricht, one of Europe’s largest art fairs and the pre-eminent event for Old Masters & antiques, postponed its March 2022 edition. Fair organizers cite the rapid rise in Covid-19 cases. TEFAF will refund the 270 exhibitors, but they are asked to pay a fixed sum of €7,500 to cover ‘contractual obligations'.

The first international art prize, awarded by the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan, attracted more than 600 artists from 46 countries. The 17 selected artists have diverse practices that reflect on the issues of our time. (Art Asia Pacific) ​

The analysis by Artnet of the 76% drop in global auction sales in March reveals emerging opportunities, including the arrival of a new, lower-budget buyer profile who buys online for entertainment. Some auction houses have thus recorded a 40% increase in their online clientele.

March 1 is when the Swiss lockdown will end. In France, mayors, such as those of Beauvais and Bordeaux, have volunteered to experiment with reopening of museums, although no schedule has been announced. 

Closed for renovation work in October 2016, the museum was scheduled to reopen last year, but had to postpone due to Covid-19. The collection, first opened in the city's Pollok Park in 1983, is home to artifacts ranging from Chinese antiquities to medieval European stained glass, intricate tapestries and fine art.
