According to Le Monde, Marc Restellini filed a complaint with a New York judge against the Wildenstein Plattner Institute on June 9. The art historian, author of a catalogue raisonné of Modigliani's work, accuses the institute of disseminating his research without his agreement.

Daniel Firman is exhibiting a new series at the French gallery in Lyon between November 3 and December 17. The artist produced the first work entitled Gathering in 2000. Daniel Weinberg, who managed to lure New York artists to his influential West Coast gallery, died on February 25 at the age of 88.

On Tuesday, in the presence of the 84-year-old artist, the city inaugurated "Au détour des routes et des chemins" ("At the Bend in the Roads and Paths"), an open-air exhibition. For a year and a half, the seven artworks featuring his famous 8.7 cm (3.4 in) strips will be on display in Gulf of Morbihan.
