The recipe never changes, yet the outcome is always different. Since the mid-1970s, Cindy Sherman has been staging herself, not to speak about herself through self-portraits but to examine the place of women in society and its representation.

Cindy Sherman, the top woman in Artprice's contemporary artist ranking between 2000 and 2020, is the focus of a retrospective at the Vuitton Foundation, due to close on January 3.

Starting tomorrow the Foundation will offer 3 live 30-minute interactive micro-visits, limited to 9 participants, allowing visitors to experience the current exhibition “Cindy Sherman” with a docent. Adopting the model put in place by the National Gallery in London, the Foundation is charging 4€ for each visit.

Perhaps best known for representing artist Cindy Sherman, the gallery established itself with artists of the Pictures Generation. One of Norway’s richest men, Astrup built a world-class museum for his enormous collection of contemporary art, the Astrup Fearnley Museet in Oslo, which is home to nearly 1,500 works.
