One of Norway’s richest men, Astrup built a world-class museum for his enormous collection of contemporary art, the Astrup Fearnley Museet in Oslo, which is home to nearly 1,500 works. It includes the likes of Cindy Sherman, Cao Fei and Damien Hirst, as well as emerging artists. He passed away aged 82. (ARTnews)
