Who says antique furniture isn’t popular anymore? This secretary desk with an Adam Weisweiler (c. 1750-c.1810) stamp could be the most contested item in a classic sale.

Who said furniture was out of fashion? A cabinet secretary stamped Adam Weisweiler, announced by the Gazette as the star of the May 24 sale by Daguerre, has just won €65,000. It can be compared to a model delivered to the Duchess of Polignac in 1789.

This tiny boxwood miniature, a specialty at the beginning of the 16th century, is the work of Adam Dircksz's workshop in the County of Holland. Intended for devotional use, these micro-sculptures set a trend aimed at the very wealthy.

Incised “exemplaire d’auteur ½”, a 23 ct gold pendant by the Fauvist painter is expected to fetch €17,000/23,000 at Adam's in Dublin on September 14.

The non-profit foundation, dedicated to photography since its founding, notably by Ansel Adams in 1952, is moving to Manhattan's UWS  across from the Museum of Natural History, in a building that will house a bookstore, an exhibition space and the organization's offices. It is expected to open in 2024.
