Approaching the million mark, a nephrite seal once belonging to Qianlong joined the huge cohort of its peers scattered across the world.

Square spinach green nephrite seal surmounted by a lion, its left front paw resting on a ball; on the underside, the inscription qin xian zhi bao ("treasure of the Qianlong emperor, appreciating talented people"), 7.2 x 8.8 x 8.8 cm/2.8 x 3.5 x 3.5 in. Result: €914,400.
