Précieux exemplaire relié par Simier au chiffre de l'impératrice Eugénie. Anne Marsh-Caldwell (1791-1874) fut une romancière anglaise très populaire à l'époque victorienne. Une note manuscrite moderne laisse entendre que ce volume aurait pu être offert par Prosper Mérimée, proche de l'impératrice Eugénie.
