On October, 17, 1961, Jacques Brel was oblivious to the fact that tragedy was about to occur during his performance at the Olympia: the “dispersion” of an Algerian demonstration would provoke over 200 deaths. Arrested demonstrators would be taken to a “regrouping zone” in front of the Parisian concert hall. The audience was completely unaware of the manhunt outside their door.
53 x 80 cm. Printed later on fiber-based paper.
Black wooden frame, and mat.
Edition 1/1. Signed.
