Salvador Dalí (Figueres, 1904 - 1989) Ink drawing on paper. Signed and dated in 1927. This is a drawing of a female torso with a muscular arm. It was published for the first time in the October 1927 edition of the magazine "La Nova Revista". This arm is echoed in two oil paintings from the same year: Apparatus and Hand and Honey is Sweeter than Blood. The latter artwork has been studied by Agustín Sánchez Vidal, who interprets it as a portrait of Buñuel, a boxer during his time in the students´ residence. The lot includes a certificate of authenticity from the Gala Salvador Dalí Foundation dated the 7th February 2018. We would like to thank Mr. Víctor Fernández for his help in cataloguing this drawing. 7 x 11 cm.
