Alliant merveilleusement la stylisation des formes au traitement épuré des volumes, cette œuvre Bamana s'inscrit dans la verticalité. A la grandeur des cornes répond l'élégance de la tête étirée. L'oryx (Oryx beisa) porte sur son dos une petite antilope (Hippotragus equinus). Très belle patine d'usage.
