Cet élégant masque surmonté d'un personnage s'impose par la modernité de ses formes épurées. Les oreilles taillées en pointe font magnifiquement écho à la verticalité du visage allongé. Les traits sont géométriques, les volumes parfaitement équilibrés. Ce masque n'est pas sans évoquer celui reproduit dans Bambara Sculpture of the Western Sudan (voir Robert Goldwater, Bambara Sculpture of the Western Sudan, 1960, p.28).
