PORTRAIT DE NAWAB SHUJA'UD DAULA D'OUDH (1732-1775), NORD DE L'INDE, XIXE SIÈCLE
Gouache sur papier. Dans un intérieur de palais ouvert sur un paysage animé de deux éléphants, sous un rideau rouge, le nawab à la longue moustache se tient debout, habillé d'un manteau bleu foncé et kaki bordé de fourrure, turban assorti, paré d'un gros collier, une épée à la main.
Une inscription indique “dans le style de Mihr Chand d'après un portrait par Tilly Kettle”.
Dim. à vue: 31 x 20; dim. cadre: 48 x 57cm
Etat: mauvais, anciennes restaurations.
