Précis élémentaire et méthodique de la nouvelle géographie de la France, suivi d'une Table alphabétique - Atlas national portatif de la France. 2 parts in one vol. in-4 oblong (21.8 × 28 cm), marbled basane, three gilded fillets framing the boards, spine ribbed and decorated with gilded motifs, red title-pieces, gilded edges (period binding). Title-frontispiece and 93 copper-engraved maps, 90 of which finely watercolored and 3 folded. One of the very first departmental atlases of France. Among the folded maps is a plan of Pondicherry. The text is printed in two numbered columns. The engraved title-frontispiece bears the date 1792. Binding a little rubbed, spotting. Some light foxing, but very fresh maps.
